14th April 2008
Important Notice for all Chinese Visa Applications (Updated)
The Chinese Embassy in London have today given notice that, from 15th
April 2008, additional documents will be required for all Tourist and
Business Visa Applications. The details of these changes are as
follows:
With ALL Visa Applications, the applicant must now supply either:
1. An Iitinerary for the Applicant's full stay in China,
or
2. Copies of both a) the Applicant's hotel booking confirmation(s) for all nights of the Applicant's stay in China, and
b) copies of outward and return flight booking confirmation,
For ALL BUSINESS Visa Applications, a Letter of Invitation from the
Company being visited in China must be supplied, complete with a stamp
of accreditation from the relevant department of the Chinese
Government.
Please note that the Chinese Embassy would previously issue Single
Entry Business Visas without an accredited Letter of Invitation, but
this will no longer be the case.
These Additional Requirements are in addition to the following changes:
All new Single and
Double Entry Chinese Visas will be valid for a maximum of 2 months,
rather than the previous 3 months.
The Embassy will not be issuing Multiple Entry Visas until further notice.
Any applications that would normally result in the issue of a Multiple
Entry Visa will now result in the issue of a Double Entry Visa.
We do not anticipate the Embassy to start issuing Multiple Entry Visas again until the Beijing 2008 Olympics have finished.
